Outlawz Sue Death Row For .5 Million
From CDnow.com The rap group the Outlawz, best known for their work with the late Tupac Shakur, have filed a .5 million lawsuit against Death Row Records, the label's incarcerated chief Marion "Suge" Knight, its distributor Interscope Records, Suge Knight Films, and Suge Publishing.
The suit, filed Tuesday (April 4) in Los Angeles Superior Court, cites 11 complaints, including breach of contract, unfair business practices, intentional interference with prospective economic advantages, racketeering, and others. The Outlawz, which signed with Death Row in March 1997 and delivered their first master recordings in January 1998, claim that, "Death Row refused to release said master recordings in retaliation for the Outlawz' refusal to enter into a separate agreement granting to Suge Publishing a publishing interest in the compositions contained in the masters delivered to Death Row."
Tha Outlawz Enemies
No Limit
No Limit were not enemies when Tupac was alive. After his death No Limit made songs in tribute to Tupac. Master P did a song called RIP 2Pac on West Coast Bad Boyz II. Master P bought some of Tupac's songs including When we ride on our enemies and started using the songs as if they made them. C Murder Made a song almost exactly the same as When we ride on our enemies. Master P also uses the same song Titles as 2Pac such as Dear Mr President and recently Hail Mary. Tha Outlawz and Yukmouth dissed No Limit on the song Still Ballin. And now C-Bo has dissed Master P and No Limit on the song Still Ridin' with Captain Save 'em. The song is on the compilation Bay Area Players 2 and samples Ambitionz az a Ridah.
